Growing up in the Chesapeake Bay Area of Maryland/DC, I was lucky to get to experience all the global foods that Washington had to offer. DC being only 14 miles in circumference and every nation represented via a Embassy, somewhere close was a little gem of a restaurant to cater to that specific group of people and I dove in to all of them. I started tending bars in my early 20’s which turned into a 20 plus year career spanning both coasts and all the while getting more focused on “craft” cocktails. I have been also blessed to have worked with some very talented kitchens, which really pushed my cocktails. Eventually making a hot sauce for family meal at one I was working the bar at the time, which worked itself into a drink after the peppers had been grown on premise. From that point (2008) hot sauce was always sitting on the burner so to speak. In 2009 having dialed J’s O.G. Sauce in i decided it was time to start selling it. After great feed back and coming to the end of a short stay back east, I moved back to California and landed in L.A. and really started to take hot sauce serious. From the O.G. Came Taco, and the Fire truck to complete out line of Mexican style sauces. Years later and from this knowledge base, I decided it was time to push all the chips in when Tim and I joined forces to form California Hot Sauce Solutions and help bring more delicious spice to the world.
